Tom S Easier and better, when? 2018-2019

Hola, fellow Quit Warriors. Seeing a number of posts the past few days asking "When this gets better/easier?". With time is the only honest answer, being more specific than that is likely going to be based on individual Quit experiences. But think about this. Quitting is an active endeavor, it is not a passive experience. It's something you DO, not something that happens TO you. To survive and thrive in your Quit, you must get off your heels and start your new, non-smoker life, NOW. You cannot just hold on, even the most stubborn of us will fall to addiction if we do not stand up and move on from smoking. And even if you fail, fail forward, learn something, and start again. Create new, healthy habits and visualize yourself as a non-smoker. It's a good life, don't let addiction tell you otherwise. Most of all, embrace NOPE in its simplest, most powerful form. Do not overcomplicate your Quit. NOPE means NOPE, through good times and bad, through joy and pain. NOPE is our sun, everything else moves around IT. Dusting off an Irish anti-smoking commercial in case you want a little pep in your Quit step today! The storm will pass, and life without smoking will get easier.
