Menno D We need to love ourselves to succeed. 2017

The longer I’m Quit the more I realize we need to love ourselves to succeed. We have to learn to take care of ourselves. Mentally, spiritually and physically. If we don’t love ourselves there is no reason to take care of ourselves. No reason to Keep Our Quits. No reason to live a happy life actually.

Smoking is the opposite of taking care of ourselves. Smoking destroys our physical health. And it made us junkies which means we are both mentally and spiritually ill. If we want to heal we need to take tobacco out of our lives. Once and for all, totally and unconditionally. This can be a brutal process at times. We are addicts and addiction will do its utmost to keep us addicted. I still have occasional urges, I have occasional smoking dreams. There has been a moment in the last month were I thought I wanted one. I’m one puff away from 2 packs a day so I won’t. Never going back!

And working hard on learning to love myself. I really think it’s essential. We are not stupid. SmokingIsStupid. Love yourself and don’t smoke. NOPE it is. Love.

PS. Pic is from Waldport OR early April. I dreamt of travelling the USA for over 35 years. Just as long as I smoked. Finally did it, after quitting. No coincidence.
