Some really good advise Kateonline one day at a time. We are all living in such odd times at the moment. One good thing in this mess is that you have kept you quit. This is huge. Hugs
Go To Discussion1q2 S is right...one day at a time. As for being selfish? nope. I don't think you're selfish. Frustrated, worried, angry....which are all legitimate. My husband still smokes too and there are days where it drives me crazy...from the constant cough, the smell, the cost and the future cost of getting sick. I don't have any good advice, but just wanted you to know you're not alone and it's not selfish to feel these things.
Go To DiscussionMy advice is to take it one day at a time. This is a hard time for all of us. You, me, and the next person. I understand your frustration and your reasoning. I hope that things will get better for you, and for him, and for the two of you if that’s ever even a possibility. I’m sorry everything is so hard.
Go To DiscussionI quit one week ago. BF still smokes. It's my birthday. Haven't left my house in over a month. I'm lonely and depressed.
Coronavirus in our world.
Can’t add pic. Admin you Might need to allow that unless you don’t want it allowed.
It might be my device.
DH is coughing and clearing his throat this morning and gagging and it's working my last nerve when he goes outside to smoke! I'm disgusted and needed to vent. At least he closed the sliding glass door this time so the smoke doesn't seep into the house, downstairs and into my office. I am way more sensitive to the smell as a non-smoker and I don't want to live with a smoker! GRRRRRRRRR
6 inches of white $hit to be on the ground by morning. My garage door is stuck shut. This means i will have to hand shovel. Grrrrrrrr I hate winter.
So we are on the tail end of my spouse's second bout with Community Acquired Pneumonia (first time was 4 years ago). Her first time with pneumonia she ended up in the hospital for 4 days. When she got out the hospital the first thing she did was light up!
This time I was extremely proactive and got her into urgent care early but they still transferred her to emergency for further evaluation because of her previous history of pneumonia. They gave here massive doses of antibiotics and steroids... So we are on the tail end of my spouse's second bout with Community Acquired Pneumonia (first time was 4 years ago). This time I was extremely proactive and got her into urgent care early but they still transferred her to emergency for further evaluation because of her previous history of pneumonia. They gave here massive doses of antibiotics and steroids and sent her home because I had got her in early. The CAP (community acquired pneumonia) cough is really annoying (for everyone) and of course it is compounded by her smoking history.
That being said, she has not smoked in over week and is starting to feel much better day by day. "I am better. I want a cigarette." she said. I could not help myself and I went off. It is unfortunate that the nicodemon has such a hold on her and she does not realize (denial) the correlation between smoking and her condition. So far today she has not smoked but I foresee a poor outcome. God I hate this addiction.

I got my annual FREE flu shot today and of course, yet again Lovebuns refuses to get one. Doesn’t matter that he had a heart attack, has a stent, will be 68 in days and smokes his chops off. That’s fine dear, don’t worry about your health or mine (I have hypothyroidism thus a compromised immune system). Thanks a lot! GRRRRRR
when the boss tells to log into the job later than the operator does...
because I've been demoted...
it feels like just one more way to demotivate...
me.
I swear...
I am not homicidal...
but this keeps getting closer to a case of the postal.
Be forewarned, I may be requesting assistance soon.
Cause... I kinda sorta wanna go medicate over this stuff...

Love the picture @Sue. ROFL. I may need to borrow the gator some day.
I can't even say what entered my head or I'd probably be locked up. (eh...gonna say it anyway...they have to catch me first to lock me up) I thought at first the big metal thing in the background was the hopper for a meat grinder.
What shovel? uh....these gloves I use at work... bleach? well.... (I need to empty my trunk more often).
