14 years quit: “What advice do you offer a brand-new quitter?”
14 years smoke free! Quitting smoking-best thing ever! This was not the first attempt to quit but it had to be the last. Make up your mind and just do it. It can be hard but it’s harder on yourself the more you think you’re missing something. Remember, you are not missing anything if you quit. You’ll miss a lot if you don’t.
Here I am 14 years in the smoke free zone, 13 surgeries for peripheral artery disease (my left leg specifically from smoking), 4 marathons, 8 half marathons, 2 sprint triathlons and 4 Spartan Obstacle Course Races completed. These became my new addiction and I couldn’t be happier. Recently I certified as a personal trainer. I’m all about good health and taking care of myself and helping others.

You can too! You can quit today! You can keep your quit! You can work through your craves! The Q is what helped me every day. Stay close and ask for support.
